CAF broadcasts last nominees for 2024 awards
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) unveiled the ultimate nominees for its 2024 awards on Thursday. The ceremony is about to happen in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday, celebrating Africa’s best soccer skills.
The shortlist for the African Player of the Year consists of Ahmed Sayed Zizo of Egypt’s Zamalek, Hussein El Shahat of Egypt’s Al Ahly, and Ronwen Williams of South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns, CAF introduced on its official social media account.
In the ladies’s classes, Morocco’s Doha Al Madani and Sanae Mssoudy be a part of Latcho Flora Marta of the Democratic Republic of Congo in competition for the African Women’s Player of the Year award.
The Best Men’s Team finalists are Egypt’s Al Ahly and Zamalek, together with South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns. Meanwhile, the Best Women’s Team shortlist options Mazembe (DR Congo), ASFAR (Morocco), and Edo Queens (Nigeria).
For the Young Women’s Player of the Year, the nominees embrace Habiba Sabry from Egypt, Doha Al Madani from Morocco, and Nigeria’s Chiamaka Okwuchukwu.
The CAF awards ceremony guarantees to spotlight the achievements of gamers and groups throughout the continent over the previous 12 months.
