The Giza Governorate has introduced a whole closure of the twenty sixth of July Axis, particularly the stretch between the Western Ring Road and the New Ahmed Arabi Axis, within the path coming from sixth of October City in direction of Lebanon Square.
This closure will begin at 12 AM on Friday and can final for 7 months, with development work ongoing 24 hours a day.
The governorate defined that this closure is important to facilitate the National Authority for Tunnels’ takeover of the primary part of the monorail station (Station 11) as a part of the Nile Valley monorail undertaking between Engineers and sixth of October, inside the Giza Governorate.
The website will then be handed over to the corporate chargeable for the development work of the monorail stations.
The Giza Governorate, in coordination with the Giza Traffic Department, has applied the next visitors diversions:
- Vehicles heading in direction of Lebanon Square and the fifteenth of May Bridge from sixth of October City: Vehicles ought to ascend the New Ahmed Arabi Axis in direction of Ahmed Arabi Street, then proceed on Ahmed Arabi Street till reaching the Arab League Street and the fifteenth of May Bridge ramp in direction of Cairo Governorate.
- Vehicles heading in direction of Safat Al-Laban Axis, Mariyutiya Junction, and Ramses Square from sixth of October City: Vehicles ought to flip proper in direction of the Engineer Sharif Ismail Axis, then proceed on the Engineer Sharif Ismail Axis in direction of the Ring Road ramp in direction of Safat Al-Laban Axis, Mariyutiya Junction, and Ramses Square.
