Libya seeks clarification on Russian journey warning

The Libyan Government of National Unity’s Foreign Ministry has requested “urgent clarification” from Russian authorities relating to their current warning towards journey to Libya.

The ministry said the person was investigated “in accordance with Libyan laws” and in coordination with the Attorney General’s workplace and anti-terrorism authorities for allegedly “corrupting Libyan youth” and sustaining hyperlinks with overseas armed teams in Africa.

The ministry emphasised its dedication to sustaining safety and the rule of regulation, while expressing curiosity in “constructive cooperation” with pleasant nations via diplomatic dialogue.

Earlier, the Russian embassy in Libya had renewed its warning towards journey to the nation, citing “extremely tense” navy and political situations, significantly in western areas.

The embassy famous that its 2011 journey advisory stays in impact, regardless of resuming full operations in Tripoli in summer season 2023.

The Libyan ministry harassed that current safety measures goal to protect stability achieved via “tireless efforts” by the Unity Government.
