Qatar hosts celebrated Caftan vogue present with royal attendance
Princess Lalla Hasnaa and Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al-Thani, chaired, on Wednesday at “Dar Al Maghreb” in Doha, the “Caftan Fashion Show”, an excellent vogue present that celebrates the excellence and creativity of conventional Moroccan high fashion.
As a part of the Qatar-Morocco Year of Culture 2024, this vogue present celebrates the artistry of ten Moroccan caftan designers, who’ve remodeled their desires into distinctive creations mixing custom with modernity.
Inspired by the ghazal poetry and Arabic calligraphy, the collections of Amina Benmoussa, Yasmina Benyahya, Frédérique Birkemeyer, Myriam Bouafi, Maison Sara Chraïbi, Najlae Diouri, Zineb Joundy, Fouzia Naciri, Albert Oiknine and Houda Serbouti, are a real ode to Moroccan craftsmanship and a tribute to the timeless magnificence of the caftan.
On this event, Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa and H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al-Thani had been greeted by the designers, earlier than posing for a memento picture.
This vogue present, enriched by musical interludes reflecting the richness and variety of Moroccan musical heritage, was attended by a number of overseas ambassadors and eminent personalities from the realms of artwork, tradition and financial system.
Upon her arrival at “Dar Al Maghreb”, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa was welcomed by Issa Bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club, Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University of Doha for Science and Technology, Hessa Soltane Al Jaber, Vice-Chairperson of Qatar Satellite Company (Es’hailSat), former Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Sheikh Hassan Bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Advisor for Cultural Affairs on the Qatar Foundation, and Sheikh Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of El Ahli Bank and Chairman of the Museum of Islamic Art.
Before reaching the style present venue, HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa and H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa Bint Hamad Al-Thani had been greeted by Mohammed Mehdi Bensaid, Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Setri, His Majesty the King’s Ambassador in Doha, Adel El Fakir, ONDA Director General, General Commissioner of the Qatar-Morocco Year of Culture 2024, and Salima El Mghazli, General Coordinator of the Qatar-Morocco Year of Culture 2024.
